The evolution of a proud aesthetic vision at its 100th birthday.
In 1910, Charles M. Siebenberg, the son of a diamond merchant and a gifted artisan himself, opened the doors of the House of Cheva in Antwerp, Belgium. He set out to create a line of jewelry of singular vision and inspiration without precedent. His inroads into Antwerp's high-society gave him an ample clientele on which to continually hone his craft and make each piece perfect and unique in its own way.
His early success allowed him to open another small shop in the seaside resort town of Ostend ‐ a playground for Europe's nobility. At this location he would create custom pieces for some of his high clientele, as well as develop his own line of elegantly crafted pieces incorporating platinum, gold, gemstones, and diamonds. Word of the high quality and unique styling coming out of the House of Cheva spread around the Continent to the highest levels of aristocratic society.
